Our
Story
Sarah Jane's Closet began with our founder and co-owner Karen's creativity and a dream in 2004. Karen is a lifelong creator with various mediums; think of a craft and Karen knows how to do it. When her daughter Sarah Jane was a baby, Karen created SJC as a way to share her knitting patterns for baby clothes. She also created stitch markers and sewing patterns. However, due to having a toddler, Karen wasn't able to build SJC into a business.
Fast forward to fall of 2025. Sarah Jane is now an adult and just graduated college. Sarah Jane is also a crafter who focuses on creating crocheted items and writing crochet patterns. She went to Karen with the goal of reviving SJC and building it into the small business that it was always meant to be. With Karen's brains and creativity mixed with Sarah Jane's knowledge of technology/social media and modern touch, Sarah Jane's Closet is back and ready for business! Thank you for supporting a completely woman owned and operated small business long in the making!

About Our Services

Stitch Markers
While knitting, Karen became frustrated with stitch markers that slid around yarn overs or were hard to find in her work. She began designing and creating her own stitch markers that were functional as well as a work of art. All of our stitch markers are double sided, one side for larger needles and the other for smaller needles. Upgrade your knit accessories collection with our unique stitch marker jewelry!

Patterns
Karen has been knitting and crocheting for 40+ years and has designed and drafted hundreds of patterns for products ranging from sweaters to hats to a purse for earbuds! While most are in the process of being edited and tested, we have several knitting patterns ready for purchase. Sarah Jane is also working on crochet patterns for scarves and hats. Check out our available patterns and stay tuned for when more are released!

Crochet Items
Sarah Jane loves making crochet wearables such as scarves, hats, and sweaters. Every month Sarah Jane will drop a limited number of a specific crochet item available for purchase.
